Castle Ball
Soft foam balls, one set of stacked cones or skittles per team as castles, colour bands
How to play
Divide the class into two equal teams on opposite sides of the court. Each team builds a castle from stacked cones or skittles at the back of their half. Teams throw soft balls to try to knock down the opponent's castle while defending their own. Players cannot cross the centre line. Players may block throws with their body but not with the ball. A player hit by a ball below the shoulder must sit down at the spot they were hit for five seconds before rejoining. The first team to completely demolish the opponent's castle wins.
Variations
Allow players sitting out from hits to be immediately freed if a teammate completes a successful throw. Use multiple small castles to extend the game.
