Privacy Policy

PE Games is an app for PE teachers. This page explains what we collect, what we don't, and how the data you create in the app is handled. The short version: we collect what's needed to give you an account, a subscription, and AI-powered game and lesson generation — nothing more.

Who we are

PE Games is published by ConnectedPE. Contact: support@connectedpe.com. We're a small team based in Australia.

What PE Games stores

Account data — your email address and a unique user ID, created when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email. We use this to sync your saved games and lesson plans across devices and to recover your library if you reinstall. Your library — games you've saved, lesson plans you've generated, and any notes or edits you've made. Stored against your account so it follows you across devices. Usage diagnostics — anonymised crash reports and basic usage telemetry to find bugs and understand which features teachers use. No names, no email addresses, no content of your games or lesson plans are included in diagnostics.

Subscriptions and billing

Premium subscriptions are handled by Apple (App Store) on iOS and Google (Play Store) on Android, with subscription state confirmed by RevenueCat, our subscription provider. When you start a free trial or subscribe, Apple/Google and RevenueCat receive the minimum data needed to confirm the purchase and unlock premium features — a subscriber ID and your receipt. They do not receive your lesson content. We do not process or store payment card details ourselves.

AI generation

The AI Game Generator and AI Lesson Planner send the prompt you provide (year level, equipment, duration, topic, etc.) to our AI providers — OpenAI and Anthropic — to generate the game or lesson plan. Prompts are not used to train their models. We do not attach your name, email, or account ID to AI requests.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs. We do not track your activity across other apps. We do not collect information about your students — PE Games is a tool for the teacher, not a student roster, and we have no features that ask for student names, photos, or personal information.

Permissions PE Games asks for

We only ask for a permission when you use the feature that needs it. Notifications — so we can remind you of saved lessons or alert you to new features (optional). Network access — to sign in, generate games and lesson plans, and sync your library. Each permission can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy → PE Games, or Android Settings → Apps → PE Games → Permissions.

How to delete your data

Delete a saved game or lesson plan — tap the trash icon when viewing it. It's removed immediately. Delete your account — open the app → Profile → Delete account. This removes your account, your saved library, and all data associated with your user ID. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account on its own; use the in-app delete option if you want your data removed.

Children's data

PE Games is designed for adult PE teachers to use in their own teaching. The app does not collect information about students and does not present student-facing accounts. If you are under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country), please do not create a PE Games account.

Where your data is stored

Account data and saved libraries are stored with Firebase (Google Cloud) in data centres operated by Google. Diagnostic data is stored with the providers listed above. By using PE Games you consent to your data being transferred to and stored in those locations.

Changes to this policy

If we change how PE Games handles data, we'll update this page and bump the effective date. Material changes will be surfaced the first time you open the updated version of the app.
