General PE Games

End Zone

Equipment

One rugby ball or soft ball, colour bands, cones to mark end zones and sidelines

How to play

Divide players into two equal teams. Mark an end zone at each end of the playing area. The aim is to carry or pass the ball into the opponent's end zone to score a point. Players may run with the ball but when tagged by an opponent they must stop and pass within three seconds. If the ball hits the ground or is intercepted, the opposing team gains possession. Players cannot physically tackle or push opponents. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Variations

Require a minimum number of passes before entering the end zone. Use a frisbee instead of a ball for an ultimate-style variation.
