Golden Child

Divide the class into two teams: the batting team and the fielding team. The fielding team lines up to shoot baskets at a basketball ring one at a time. The batting team throws a ball into the playing area and then all their players run the bases continuously, one after the other, scoring a point each time a player crosses home. The fielding team must shoot and make a basket to stop all the runners. When a basket is made, all runners freeze on the base they are on. The exception is the Golden Child, who the batting team nominates secretly and who cannot be frozen. The game ends when the Golden Child crosses home plate or all fielding players have shot. Teams then swap roles.

Allow two golden children per team. Require fielding players to make two consecutive baskets to stop the runners.
