Crab Walk Relay

Equipment

Cones

How to play

Divide the class into equal teams behind a start line with a turnaround cone about 10 to 12 metres ahead. Players must move in the crab position with hands and feet on the floor and belly facing upward. On the signal, the first player in each team crab walks to the cone and back, then tags the next player. The next player takes the crab walk position and repeats. Players may not drop their hips to the floor or turn over onto their stomach during the relay. The first team to finish wins.

Variations

Have players carry a small ball on their stomach while crab walking to increase difficulty. Race in pairs side by side for a teamwork variation.
