Wheelbarrow Relay
Cones
How to play
Divide the class into equal teams with players in pairs. Set a turnaround cone about 10 metres in front of each team. One partner gets into the push-up position with hands on the floor while the other partner holds their legs at hip height. On the signal, the wheelbarrow (front player) walks on their hands while the partner pushes their legs toward the cone. At the cone they swap roles and return. After both have crossed the line, the next pair begins. Players must keep a steady pace to avoid the wheelbarrow collapsing. The first team to finish wins.
Variations
Increase the distance for older students. Add an obstacle to navigate around during the relay.
