OctopusAll students line up at the end of the playing area side by side.
Loose CabbooseClass is divided up into groups of 4 with each group of 4 standing in single file holding waist onto the of the student in front.
Chain TagOne student in the class is designated the tagger.
Body TagNominate four students as taggers and have them put on the colour bands.
Ball TagTwo players are nominated as taggers.
3 Legged TagChildren are in pairs but their inside legs are loosely tied together with a band or scarf.
Team TagDivide the class into 4 or 5 teams.
Line TagOne, 2 or 3 children are taggers and have bands.
Island TagHoops and ropes scattered around the area, close enough together to jump from hoop to hoop or rope to hoop.
Hug TagChildren spread out within playing area.
Go BetweenFree spacing; 1 player is “it”.
Fox and GeeseChildren in groups of 4-5.
Everybody’s ItEveryone is “it” and can tag everybody else.
Catch the Dragons TailChildren in groups of 6-8 lined up one behind the other all hold onto the waist of the person in front.
Cat and MouseGroups of 5-7 children, hands linked in a circle.
BumpChildren in freely spaced pairs, side by side with elbows linked.
Back to Back TagChildren in pairs back to back, joined by linking elbows.

Sharks and MinnowsSet up a large rectangular playing area with two safe zones at each end (the shores).
British BulldogMark out a large rectangular field with two end zones.
Red Light Green LightSet up a start line and a finish line about 20 metres apart.
Stuck in the MudNominate two or three taggers who wear colourbands.
Toilet TagNominate two or three taggers who wear colourbands.
Zombie TagBegin with one or two players nominated as zombies wearing colourbands.
Pac-Man TagAll players must move only along the lines of a court such as a basketball or netball court.
Elbow TagAll players except two stand in pairs with elbows linked, spread around the playing area.
Capture the FlagDivide players into two equal teams and split the playing area in half with a clear boundary line.
What's the Time Mr WolfOne player is Mr Wolf and stands at one end of the playing area with their back to the group.
